Start the Day Off Right
There are certain points in time that inspire a fresh start: the beginning of the school year, the new calendar year, birthdays, and more.
We didn't necessarily anticipate that mid-March 2020 would be one of these key times. However, in many ways, the pandemic and the abrupt changes in our routine has also paved the way for new opportunities and growth to preserve and maintain our health and the health of our families. Starting off the day on the proverbial "right foot" has never been more critical or accessible.
One simple way to initiate a new, healthy routine is to start each day with a glass of water, lemon, and sea salt. Drinking a full 12 ounces of water helps hydrate your body after a night of sleep and set your body up for healthy day-long hydration. Plus, the lemon helps activate gastrointestinal functions, balance your body's ph levels, reduces inflammation, and supports immune functions as well.
