"Rubber Ducky, You're the One..."

Attention all adults — not all childhood habits need to be abandoned! Specifically, regular tub time for adults is a great way to take care of your body, especially when you use our bath salts!
We have honed our proprietary bath salt blend: a mix of Duxbury Saltworks Classic Sea Salt — the last 10% of every batch that is extra high in nourishing minerals, more suited to bathing than dining — combined with some traditional epsom salts (also high in minerals for soaking). We believe this is the perfect mix for a relaxing, soothing, and nourishing bath.

Here are just a few great reasons why you should add a bath to your regular self-care routine.

  • Soothe those pesky aches and pains Magnesium, which is found in both our bath sea salt and Epsom salt, is a natural muscle relaxant. A regular soak can also help increase blood flow throughout your body and repair internal aches and pains.
  • Rest Better  Regular time floating in the tub, especially when you take your warm bath one hour before you hit the hay, can improve the quality of your sleep. Relaxing in the warm water can slow your heart rate down and gradually increase your body's temperature, which can often make you feel drowsy. When you get out and your body returns to its normal temperature, this process also triggers a release of melatonin, the chemical in your body that acts as its bedtime reminder.
  • Lower stress levels  Sometimes the simple act of zoning out for 15 minutes can give you the break you need after a long day. The steamy air and warm water can help ease your mind and provide an escape from everyday stresses. For a little stress reduction, take a few deep breaths while you soak.

For added relaxation in your bath, consider adding a few drops of essential oils to your bath water. We recommend lavender or rose scents for stress-relieving relaxation.

To best incorporate the essential oil in your bath water, remember to mix your scented oil with coconut or olive oil first and add it to the tub after the water stops running.
